At least someone admitted to writing a song based on their love relationship with a fellow celeb.

Iconic performer Leonard Cohen wrote his famous “Chelsea Hotel” hit after an affair he had with the legendary Janis Joplin.

Some lines in the song are more than extremely intimate, and since his public declaration of inspiration, Cohen also stated that he regrets linking the song with Joplin.

His regret only grew after the iconic singer’s death in 1994. “It is the sole indiscretion in my professional life,” Cohen explained, “Looking back I’m sorry I did because there are some lines in it that are extremely intimate.”
