12 Celebrities Who Didn’t Even Need To Tell Us They Were Gay
7) Adam Lambert
The hair, the eye makeup, the sass… all were great stereotypical indicators that the American Idol contestant Adam Lambert was probably batting for the other team, but that didn’t stop droves of confused teenage girls from falling in love with him as he performed on the idol stage each week. The rest of us knew from the start that the powerful singer and breakout reality star was gay before he officially made the announcement in a 20/20 interview in 2009.
He may have broken teenage girls’ hearts everywhere, but he gained the respect of the LGBT community and the news seemed to only help the singers career get off the ground instead of hurting it like it may have done a decade or 2 earlier. Since his days on Idol and the initial revelation to 20/20 Lambert has been all over the music scene from releasing hit records and guest starring on the small screen and touring with Queen. He is also a major advocate for the LGBT community and enjoying being out and proud.
