11. Katharine McPhee and Michael Morris

The singer, songwriter and actress initially rose to fame back in 2006 when she came in 2nd place on the 5th season of the reality singing competition show American Idol.

She then moved on to a successful acting career and  at the age of 23 McPhee married her longtime boyfriend 42 year old Nick Cokas in 2008.

The couple seemed to be happy and thriving as McPhee’s acting career took off and she landed a starring role on NBC’s musical drama Smash in 2012.

So it came as a huge shock to her husband and fans when photos surfaced of the star in a full on makeout session with her married Smash director Michael Morris in 2013. It was later reported by McPhee’s people that she and Cokas had separated 6 months earlier but her director couldn’t say the same.

Morris was apparently given the boot by his wife and mother of his 3 children when she heard the news, but as for now the couple seem to be separated and not perusing a divorce. After the backlash of the scandal was felt, McPhee and her hunky director beau called it quits in November of 2013, just one month after the photos had been released.
