12. Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman

The tabloid world in both the US and UK got a huge story and fans got a taste of a huge scandal when it was revealed that the X-Factor creator and former American Idol judge was expecting his first child with the wife of his long time friend Andrew Silverman.

This news was particularly interesting to long time followers of Cowell’s as he had previously ended several other long term relationships as he wasn’t ready to take them to the next level as he never wanted to marry or have children.

But eventually Cowell and Silverman came forward to fess up to the allegations and Silverman’s divorce was finalized in November of 2013 just days before her baby shower.

The pregnancy was obviously unexpected on both ends but the couple decided to make the most of it and are now a seemingly happy, new parents to their son Eric Cowell who was born on February 14, 2014.

Silverman and her ex husband were able to end things amicably and have decided to share joint custody of their 7 year old son who will live with his father in New York but still get plenty of time to get to know his new brother as well.
