15 Celebrities Who are Crazy in Real Life
13) The Bad Boy: Martin Lawrence
Lawrence, 49, is usually a funny guy. He’s known for his many funny movies, including Bad Boys I and II, Big Momma’s House and Wild Hogs, and also for his sitcom “Martin.”
Real life, however, hasn’t always been so funny for Lawrence. In 1995, the actor got violent while filming the movie “A Thin Line Between Love and Hate” and was hospitalized. Then in 1996, he was again hospitalized after he was found wandering on Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles cursing at cars and with a loaded gun in his pocket. A few months after that incident, he was stopped at Burbank Airport while trying to board a plane with a gun. But the worst incident occurred in 1999 when Lawrence collapsed after jogging in heavy clothing during 100-degree weather and ended up in a coma for three days.
Many onlookers believe that the actor is bipolar. However, Lawrence has denied having the mental illness and instead has blamed drug abuse for his many strange episodes. In 2012, his friends and family were reportedly again worried about the actor who was upset over the breakup of his marriage. Fortunately, things may be looking up for Lawrence. He and Kelsey Grammer will be starring in a new FX comedy called “Partners,” which is set to premier on August 4th.
