3) Transforming to Crazy?: Shia LaBeouf

The 27-year-old “Transformers” star was in the news quite a bit in 2014 for some pretty odd behavior. Yet, no one is sure whether the young actor is actually losing it or if it’s all an act. Not surprisingly, a number of people are skeptical of LaBeouf’s supposed breakdown, especially after it was revealed that Joaquin Phoenix had pretended to be going crazy for a 2009 movie.

As for LaBeouf, he was spotted in February 2014 at the Berlin Film Festival with a paper bag over his face that had the words, “I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE” written on it. And when the actor was accused of plagiarizing the work of author Daniel Clowes for his short film, “HowardCantour.com,” he hired a skywriter in Los Angeles to write, “I am sorry Daniel Clowes.”

Although LaBeouf has claimed his odd behavior and actions were all part of a performance art piece, he was also fired from the play “Orphans” in February 2014. His co-star Alec Baldwin told Broadway.com that LaBeouf had been acting “scattered” and carried with him a “jailhouse mentality.” Only time will tell whether or not LaBeouf is actually crazy or just crazy like a fox.
