While shooting Rancho Deluxe in 1974, Bridges met waitress Geston.

At the time, she was sporting two black eyes and a broken nose (which, despite Geston’s assumption of domestic abuse from which he would save her, she had actually acquired from a recent car crash).

Geston initially said no to Bridges, but after some romantic gestures (including several dances at the film’s wrap party), Bridges agreed to a relationship.

In June 1977 Bridges proposed. The relationship had been under stress due to his commitmentphobia, but after she had received a job offer in Montana he realized that he didn’t want to be without her. The couple was married five days later right in their own backyard.

They how have three children: Isabelle Annie, Jessica Lily, and Hayley Roselouise.

They have two homes: one in Montana near to the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, and a Tuscan-style villa on 19 acres in Santa Barbara California.
