Most of you don’t know, but Tom Cruise and Mimi Rogers were briefly married back in the day.
On May 9, 1987, in a small and quiet upstate New York ceremony, 24-year-old Tom exchanged wedding vows with Mimi Rogers.
The only people present at the event were the actor’s mother, Mary Lee Mapother, and Tom’s best man, Emilio Estevez. The reports sat even Cruise’s publicist was kept in the dark and knew absolutely nothing about the secret wedding.
The secrecy gave the Tom and Mimi the coveted sanctuary from the prying eyes of the media, however, the two didn’t last long. They separated in 1989, while the divorce was finalized in February 1990.
