In the early 90s, this pair made a splash by (gasp) showing up together in public on multiple occasions. They never released official milestone dates for their romance, but there certainly was one (albeit short lived). Over the course of 1992, this couple continued to make headlines together and apart. In one very famous incident, Agassi appeared at Wimbeldon with his chest completely shaved. He claimed the move made him more aerodynamic, but everyone else assumed that this had some Barbra-related usage that he wasn’t admitting to the public. He also gave Streisand a special wink and nod while he was on the court, causing her heart to flutter and onlookers to get a little bit swoony.

Barbra certainly admired Agassi. She went on record to say that her beau was “very evolved” (whatever that means) and further gushed that watching him play tennis was a fully absorbing experience. She compared him to a Zen master, saying he was very in the moment and an extraordinary human being, very sensitive, and very intelligent. Maybe he was all these things, but that (apparently) wasn’t enough for funny girl.
