7) Halle Berry & Danny Wood

Bet you’ve forgotten that this even happened but trust us; it was actually a thing! In 1989, Halle Berry snagged a few dates with New Kids on the Block singer Danny Wood. Young, crazy, in love, the couple didn’t last very long (they broke up in a record 3.2 months and Berry must not have been overly upset about it since she got it together and married baseball player David Justice in 1992).

Breakups can be rough, and even more weird when the rest of the world is watching. To compound the awkwardness of this particular situation, right around the time of the breakup Wood’s band mate Donnie Wahlberg had set up a surprise for Wood. During the band’s set, they played their hit song “Never Gonna Fall in Love Again” during which Wahlberg had arranged for Berry to come up onstage and provide Wood with some inspiration. Talk about unintended irony; if that’s not a bit uncomfortable, we’re not certain what is (except for maybe the eighties throwback pictures of this couple which pepper the internet).
