Just looking at what Amal has done in her past, with her controversial beliefs and political dealings, it would be easy to paint her as a target. But that has been anything but the truth for the people that matter most in George’s life. On Twitter Amal was quick to be followed by celebrities of Ashton Kutcher’s caliber.

Matt Damon, who is good friends with George through their work together, was quick to come out and endorse their pending nuptials. Damon said that he was “thrilled” that they found each other and proud of how “happy” they are. Matt Damon went on to say that everybody who met Amal has been completely unsurprised by how she won George’s heart. If you can win Clooney’s heart, and the heart of his friends around him, you are probably going to do alright!
