The billionaire founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, wed his long time girlfriend, Priscilla Chan, the day after Facebook’s stock went public. While there is no confirmation of a wedding prenup, according to Sarah Lacy’s book, “Once You’re Lucky, Twice You’re Good”, the couple did have a history of making romantic agreements. Before Chan agreed to be Zuckerberg’s live-in girlfriend, she demanded, “One date per week, a minimum of a hundred minutes of alone time, not in his apartment and definitely not at Facebook.”

Of all people, Mark should know the value of a legally binding contract – or how much room there is to maneuver when you don’t have the security of legal protection. After all, it was a handshake deal but nothing legally binding which led him to take his classmate’s business plan into a different direction and ultimately led to the creation of the famous social network.
