Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Enjoy Adults Only Weekend
It’s hard to get away for some quality couple time when you’ve got super busy careers and are the parents of six kids. But on the weekend of April 5, A-listers Angelina Jolie, 38, and Brad Pitt, 50, managed to sneak away from their rambunctious brood for some quiet time at a Los Angeles hotel.
Recently, the power couple’s busy filming schedules had kept them apart for weeks at a time. Jolie had been in Australia for several months, directing her World War II film “Unbroken,” and she had also flown to Sarajevo to speak against sexual violence. Meanwhile, Pitt had also been away, filming his own World War II movie, “Fury” in London. The two have managed to meet up on occasion. Most notably, the couple attended the Oscars in March, where the film Pitt produced, “12 Years a Slave” won the Academy Award for best picture. And in December, the entire family enjoyed a vacation together in Sydney.
The casually dressed pair were spotted with their arms around each other and without Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 7 and the twins Vivienne and Knox, 5. According to sources, the couple stayed in a private hotel from Friday until Sunday afternoon.
Is it possible the romantic rendezvous had anything to do with the news of Gwyneth Paltrow’s and Chris Martin’s conscious uncoupling? Could the demise of another super couple’s relationship have spooked Jolie and Pitt into working on their own long-distance union? Or were the pair just in need of some time away from the kids and their super hectic schedules? Whatever the reason, it’s always nice — in these days and times — to see a couple actually consciously working on their coupling rather than their uncoupling. Though, there still isn’t word on when the engaged couple will finally find time to get married!
