Katty Perry Replaced John Mayer With Rapper Riff Raff?

Katy Perry’s on-again, off-again relationship with John Mayer is once again in its off-again phase. Based on the latest rumors, this romance just might be finished for good! The singer is believed to be dating Horst Christian Simco, the rapper better known as Riff Raff.

The dating rumors first began in February, shortly after Perry once again ended her relationship with Mayer. It seems that she and Riff Raff finally decided to hit the town together. The rapper marked the big date by posting a picture to Instagram. In the photo’s caption area, he mentioned that he was on a date with Perry. He also complimented the singer for being “purdy.”

Since this early date, Perry and Riff Raff are believed to have been going steady. While the pop star previously made a point of constantly talking about her marriage with Russell Brand and her relationship with John Mayer, she’s kept relatively quiet about this new romance. Perhaps she’s learned that it’s better to leave the media out of her love life. Then again, her relationship with Riff Raff is still in its early stages, so she may just want to see how things go before creating a media frenzy with her new guy.

Thus far, it looks like this fling has all the makings of a long-term relationship. A source recently told Closer that Perry was enjoying her time with Riff Raff. She’s said to be attracted to his confidence and his refusal to be intimidated by her success. The two have largely kept things casual, enjoying being in one another’s company while going bowling, eating sushi and meeting up for drinks. Only time will tell if Riff Raff will be another John Mayer — fans are certainly hoping this is not the case!
