When ‘Once Upon a Time’ Comes True! Ginnifer Goodwin Secretly Marries Co-star Josh Dallas
Well, apparently, he was that into her. Co-stars John Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin were married Saturday, April 12 in a private and intimate ceremony in Los Angeles. This is the first marriage for Goodwin, 35, who starred in 2009’s “He’s Just Not That Into You” and currently co-stars with Dallas in ABC’s “Once Upon a Time.” As for Dallas, 32, this is his second marriage. He was previously married to “Sherlock” actress Lara Pulver from 2007 to 2011.
In November of last year, Goodwin — who plays Snow White on “Once Upon a Time,” revealed that she is preggers with the couple’s first child. Obviously, Dallas felt he had to live up to his Prince Charming character and so he swept his lady love off her feet and to the altar. Representatives for the fairy tale-based show have said that Goodwin’s pregnancy will be written into the storyline. She is due some time in the spring.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Goodwin — who wore a custom-made Monique Lhuillier wedding gown — and Dallas exchanged their vows in front of approximately 30 friends and loved ones during a sunset ceremony. The wedding was followed by a courtyard cocktail reception.
The couple had only been engaged since October, but had been dating for more than a year prior to that. Goodwin and Dallas reportedly fell in love in 2011, shortly after meeting on the set of “Once Upon a Time.” In an interview with People Magazine, Dallas said that he fell in love with Goodwin immediately and that meeting her hit him “like a blinding light.” At the time, Dallas was still married to Pulver. Not surprisingly, Pulver and Dallas separated in 2011.
After their marriage, Goodwin and Dallas apparently did not leave immediately for their honeymoon as paparazzi spotted them the next day, still in Los Angeles, visiting a friend.
