Is Zac Efron dating his ‘Neighbors’ Co-Star Halston Sage?
If you’ve been longing to date Zac Efron since he first appeared in “High School Musical,” then prepare to be further disappointed. The “Neighbors” star is reportedly “official” with his co-star Halston Sage.
The duo were spotted in early April at a Lakers game, sitting court side at the Staples Center. In news that originally broke via E!, a source told the entertainment site that the two were “definitely” an item.
“They were seeing each other a bit during filming of their movie together and ever since he went to rehab they got a lot closer,” the anonymous source stated. “Her friends love him and say he is so sweet. He’s really good to her.”
But while Zac Efron seems to be all about Sage right now, one actor who isn’t, is Glee star and former boyfriend Chord Overstreet. Less than a week passed from the moment the Efron-Sage photos were released, and the two were calling it quits.
Sage’s past known relationships include James Maslow of Dancing with the Stars and Big Time Rush. Efron, on the other hand, has quite a reputation with the women, and was recently spotted at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards alongside “Neighbors” social media manager LaQuishe Wright.
(Of course, that doesn’t mean anything because he also kissed a girl in the audience!)
“Neighbors,” Efron’s latest film, is a comedy that stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as a couple with a new baby, who face unexpected challenges after being forced to live in a house next door to a fraternity.
Efron plays lead troublemaker Teddy Sanders. Little is known about Sage’s role of Brooke. The film opens nationwide on May 9.
As for the rest of Efron’s 2014, he has two additional roles on his resume, including an upcoming TV movie set in the world of Robot Chicken, entitled “Robot Chicken DC Comics Special II: Villains in Paradise,” where he will be voicing Superboy.
“Neighbors” is up next, following on the heels of January’s “That Awkward Moment,” a second R-rated comedy.
Next year, he’ll be shifting gears with the legal thriller, “The Associate.”
