Stepmother Calls Oprah’s Relationship With Gayle King ‘Unhealthy’

Oprah has become one of the biggest names in the world of entertainment. Whether it was her eponymous talk show, famous book club, or personal network–she was everywhere. Now the famous talk show host, and business mogul, is in the spotlight for her relationship with her best friend, Gayle King. The light of this controversy is being shone from allegations spawning from Oprah’s stepmom, Barbara Winfrey.

Barbara Winfrey and Oprah have been going back and forth for awhile now. Stepmother of the business mogul has been dealing dirt on the famous Winfrey for awhile through certain tabloid papers. Barbara has, in particularly, shone a spotlight on the relationship between Oprah and her best friend Gayle. Oprah alleges that their relationship is one that is “most unhealthy”. The allegation stems from a variety of financial, and personal, decisions that were made by the celebrity.

Barbara points to a Mediterranean cruise the Winfrey family took on vacation as one of the prime examples of the unhealthy Gayle relationship. During this 11 day family vacation, Oprah only spoke to Gayle. Oprah also routinely referred to the two as “we”, rather than two separate entities. Barbara claims that Oprah is too dependent on Gayle and that the relationship has to have some sort of undertone far different than what is being displayed.

Despite all of the allegations being thrown out by Barbara Winfrey, nothing has seemed to stick on one of the most famous and revered women in Hollywood. While Oprah may have an interesting relationship with her best friend, the relationship with her embattled stepmom is making all of the headlines.
