What did Prince William give Kate for their anniversary?
It seems like just yesterday, stunning Kate Middleton was getting married to Prince William at Westminster Abbey in London. But the truth is the gorgeous couple — also known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge — have just celebrated their third anniversary on April 29. My, how time flies.
According to sources, the dynamic duo, who have just returned from a grueling three-week-long official royal tour of New Zealand and Australia, planned a low-key private affair to celebrate their third anniversary. Not surprising as the two were kept very busy while performing their royal duties in the Land Down Under and are probably in need of some much-deserved down time. There is no word yet on whether their bouncing baby George got to join them in their anniversary celebration or had to spend time with his nanny.
Last year, the Duke and Duchess weren’t so fortunate and had to spend their second anniversary day apart as William had been on duty as a Royal Air Force pilot in Wales and, at the time, Kate was pregnant.
William, according to The Daily Mail, had already given Kate an early anniversary present before their New Zealand and Australia tour, a beautiful Cartier watch that boasted a sapphire — a match for her sapphire engagement ring, which had once belonged to William’s mother, Princess Diana.
The couple’s together time in London will be limited, however. The dashing prince is about to head overseas with his brother, Prince Harry, 30, — who just split with his longtime gal pal, Cressida Bonas, 25 — to attend the wedding of a friend in the United States. The two are reportedly going to be ushers in the Tennessee nuptials of their friend Guy Pelly.
Of course, there has been much speculation recently that the happy couple may be trying to have another baby and, in fact, there were rumors that Kate was pregnant in New Zealand. However, that rumor was quickly squashed after Kate took a few sips of wine while visiting a vineyard.
