Inside George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s Engagement Party

There are very few stable things throughout the history of Hollywood, and George Clooney’s resistance to marriage was one of them. That resistance is obviously gone, now, after a civil rights lawyer by the name of Amal Alamuddin won over the A-lister’s heart. The news came out of nowhere, and it came quickly. Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney announced their engagement a few weeks ago, seemingly right on the heels of Clooney’s dumping of model-girlfriend Stacy Keibler. Now the beautiful couple is celebrating in preparation to their upcoming nuptials, and an engagement party in Malibu was their first stop.

At the Clooney-Alamuddin engagement party in Malibu, George and Amal got pretty hot and heavy in front of their crowd of friends, family, and cameras. Guests of the party were quick to note how cuddly Clooney and Alamuddin were being. They were always within arm’s reach of each other and, more often, simply in each other’s arms. After George’s big toast for the night, he and Amal were quick to get back to their PDA heavy relationship.

Among the folks in attendant were Cindy Crawford and Bono from U2. The party was hosted at the Cafe Habana, which is owned by Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber. The wealthy celebrities sat around in the beautiful Cafe and sipped martinis while they talked of romance and friendship. There was karaoke and dancing and the atmosphere seemed very laid back, according to local sources. Before too long Amal and George retreated from the party, arms full of gifts and flowers. Alamuddin looked fantastic in a shorts and a yellow form fitting top to go along with her seven carat engagement ring. George was as charming as ever in blue jeans and a tee.

The hottest new couple got their start on the internet where they traded flirty emails back and forth. George said that they had “a lot in common” because they were both the “hottest” in their own professions. While Amal is definitely out of the norm for Clooney, anybody with a pair of eyes can see that they are head over heels for each other.
