Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Wedding to Take Place in Florence

Kim and Kanye are taking their wedding global when they head to Forte Belvedere to have their wedding. Initially the superstars were going to have their wedding set in France, but Kanye had a change of heart and everything was altered. What was the reason for the abrupt wedding change? In typical Kanye fashion, he had to explain it through headlines.

Kanye spoke to La Nazione newspaper, which is located in Florence, to explain their choice of wedding destination. The rapper said that he loved Florence, Italy, and the Italian lifestyle as a whole. Rather bland answer, right? Well, don’t worry because Kanye quickly expounded on the statement. West goes on to say that during a trip last year to the Arno River, with just Kim and himself, he believed their daughter North to be “conceived here among the Renaissance masterpieces.”

Kanye went on to explain that he and Kim enjoyed their first honeymoon in the city and then came back again during a tour of Italy. His love for the city apparently even spread to his life as a musician as he dropped another bombshell: he is composing his next album here in Florence.

The Wedding will take place on May 24th at Forte Belvedere. Kanye and Kim dropped almost half of a million dollars to rent the venue. Over 1000 guests will be in attendance. The Forte was constructed by the ruling Medici family of the time and stands tall over the surrounding cityscape. This will be Kanye’s first wedding, though he was previously engaged to Alexis Phifer, and the third wedding for Kim.
