Katy Perry & Diplo Call It Quits!

Katy Perry kissed Diplo and, well, he apparently didn’t like it. The latest rumors to come out of the Hollywood gossip machine have DJ Diplo walking away from the gorgeous popstar. The reasons for this sudden split? Apparently Diplo is looking for a serious and long term relationship, something that isn’t on Katy’s menu just yet. Why is Katy so hesitant to get serious with a man who, a few weeks ago, she seemed head over heels for? Let’s take a look.
According to sources close to the situation, Katy had a major freak out when Diplo brought up the idea of introducing her to his parents. Perry lost her cool and started to watch the trajectory of where this relationship might be going. This same close source says that Diplo was toying with the idea of marriage which is something Katy definitely does not want to be a part of, at least not in the near future. So Diplo was apparently forced to recognize her lack of commitment and move on. That doesn’t mean that Katy is currently without her suitors…
John Mayer was reportedly quick to blow up Katy’s phone when he heard that her relationship had gone sour. To her credit, up to this point, Katy has been ignoring the messages sent by her sex addicted ex-boyfriend, but who knows how long it will last? It seems right now that Katy would be better served taking some time to get her own heart in order. Friends of the popstar believe that she should spend more time being happy with who she is as a person, rather than trying to jump from man to man to get some short term satisfaction.
As far as Diplo goes, the musician is obviously upset with having to end what was once a promising relationship. He has been relatively mum on the subject since the news broke despite the fact that Katy seems to be moving on just fine. You live and you learn! Perhaps he can go to Russel Brand for some Post-Perry rehab.
