Angelina Jolie Buys A $3.2 million Watch For Brad Pitt As Wedding Gift
Angelina Jolie has shown just how much she loves her new husband by buying him an exquisitely rare timepiece worth £2 million, or 3.2 million dollars.
A 1952 Patek Philippe platinum watch, which was designed by one of the most respected Swiss watchmakers, will from now on embellish Brad’s wrist.
To Roly from Nessa
The news of this romantic gesture was revealed when a mutual friend took the watch to be adorned with the final touch, a personal inscription that read: “To Roly from Nessa.”
For those of you confused by these names, Roly and Nessa are the characters that Angelina and Brad play in the movie called “By The Sea,” which the two are currently shooting together.
The Man Behind The Inscription
George Farrugia of Dolindo Jewellers, the man responsible for the inscription job, stated that it was indeed an incredibly rare piece.
“I did inscribe the watch, it was for Brad and it was a rare one. Oh yes, it was very valuable,” he told for The Mirror.
“I wasn’t nervous about the inscription because I knew I could do the work perfectly,” George stated when he was asked if he was by any chance put off by the hot value of the item.
Brad and Angelina tied the knot on 23 August in a private, family event at the couple’s magical French home, Château Miraval.
