Hoda Is Secretive No More: Kotb Finally Reveals Boyfriend’s Identity

Hoda Kotb finally revealed the mystery that haunted thoughts of every Today Show fan for years! The TV show host is dating New York financier Joel Schiffman, and not only that – she declared she is very much in love!

The TV personality has been dating the 56-year-old financier for more than a year and a half. So far she has kept things very hush – hush. She even blurred his face in pictures and only referred to him as “Boots.”

Schiffman works for an investment firm in New York, and he has also been married once before.

He has a grown-up daughter, who met Hoda in New York on the set of the Today show, and called her perspective step-mother “awesome.”

The stunning screen persona said that she had protected Joel for nearly two years, saying: “You know when you’re keeping something close to your chest… I have to say, I feel like some relief, you know when you’re keeping a secret…I talked to him this morning and I was like, ‘Who cares?’ He said, ‘Who cares?’”

Hoda spoke about her decision to keep their romance out of the public eye on The Wendy Williams Show in October, when she said: “When you’re dating and it’s in public, sometimes your dating life gets accelerated because people are asking ‘what’s going on, is it great, are you getting married?’ and suddenly the whole thing, it just explodes.”

Allegedly, Hoda didn’t want to go out that same night she met Joel. Later on, he managed to woo her at an event with where she was the speaker. Afterwards, he asked her to sign his copy of her book.

Hoda was married to former tennis coach Burzis Kanga from 2005 to 2007.
