Happy 15th Wedding Anniversary, Cathrine and Michael!

When Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones got married in a star-studded, $1.5 million wedding ceremony in New York City in 2000, nobody thought they would last primarily because of their whopping 25-year-age difference.

Today, as the Douglases celebrate 15 years of their marriage, here’s hoping they break the Hollywood tradition of super-short, unhappy unions and stay together for “as long as they both shall live”.

The 46-year-old actress was the first to wish her partner a happy anniversary via social media when she took to Instagram to post:

“Happy Anniversary dearest Michael! Loving our life together, here’s to the next 15!” she wrote with a heart emoji.

Michael responded by posting two of their pictures together on Facebook, one from their wedding and another more casual one, which he captioned, “15 Years ago and today. Happy Anniversary, Catherine!”

Catherine and Michael met at the Deauville Film Festival in France in 1998, and their marriage has seen its fair share of ups and downs, including Michael’s adult son’s incarceration, his cancer battle, and her bipolar II disorder treatment, all which resulted in a brief separation in 2013.

All is well now and we wish them a truly happy anniversary!
