Mariah Carey Engaged To Billionaire Boyfriend James Packer

The “Hero” singer got engaged to her Aussi billionaire boyfriend, James Packer, on Thursday, in New York City, her rep confirmed.

The 45-year-old singer and 48-year-old businessman, investor, and philanthropist have been dating for under a year, and they first stepped out as a couple in June 2015.

Having successfully wooed Mariah, Packer proposed following a trip to St. Bart’s on his yacht earlier in the week.

This will be Mariah’s third marriage, as she was previously married to Tommy Mottola for five years, and Nick Canon for eight years, with whom she has 4-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

Mariah split from estranged husband Nick Canon in August 2014, and filed for divorce in January 2015. Third time’s a charm, as Packer had been married twice before too! He has three children.
