Both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have given time and money to charities throughout their careers, showing they are as passionate about charity as they are about show business.

Ben Affleck has been a devoted humanitarian for many years since he began making large amounts of money as an actor and then a director in Hollywood. He has travelled to Congo for charity and has teamed up with Ellen DeGeneres for the Small Change Campaign to help Feed America.

Recently, with his wife Jennifer Garner, he set up the Eastern Congo Initiative, which is the first US based advocacy and grant-making initiative wholly focused on working with and for the people of Eastern Congo. In 2009, Garner was named Artist Ambassador for Save the Children, which is devoted to helping children in need across the globe and has hosted dinners to benefit cancer research on a regular basis.
