Daniel Craig and Wife Rachel Weisz Make a Rare Red Carpet Appearance

It’s hard for the public to believe that Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz have been married for three years — they are very rarely spotted out together in public. The other day, the two defied expectations by showing up at an exclusive gala, hand in hand. The big event was the Night of Opportunity Gala, which took place at New York City’s Cipriani Wall Street.
The famous couple set aside a little time to pose on the red carpet before the beginning of the ceremony. Weisz looked amazing as always, decked out in a lovely Narciso Rodriguez dress. Craig also impressed on the red carpet, taking on a Bond-inspired look with his sleek suit. The two seemed relatively comfortable together, holding hands in front of the cameras.
Given how rare it is for Craig and Weisz to appear together in public, it’s assumed that, when they do attend an event together, the occasion must be something near and dear to their hearts. Such was the case for the Night of Opportunity Gala. The two are very big on philanthropy and were eager to support a great cause. The purpose of the Night of Opportunity Gala was to honor those who have contributed to the Opportunity Network, a nonprofit intent on placing low-income students on a clear path to success. Craig and Weisz have been very active in supporting this nonprofit, and thus, were highlighted for their efforts at the gala.
Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz typically only make one joint red carpet appearance per year, which means they have officially fulfilled their obligation for 2014. In 2013, they attended the Golden Globe Awards together. The year before, Weisz accompanied Craig at the premiere of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Fans are hoping they’ll break the pattern and attend another red carpet event together before the year is over. Unfortunately, The Girl Who Played With Fire is not slated for release until 2015, so it may be a year before we see Craig and Weisz together again.
