George Clooney And His Wife Amal Are Moving To England
A small Berkshire village called Sonning, where the couple bought their nine-bedroom marital home seven months ago, is gradually preparing to welcome the high-profile Hollywood duo.
During a recent interview with Good Morning Britain’s Ross King, the actor revealed their plans to move to Sonning, and it appears the move will take place within a few months.
“We’ve got a house there, we’re fixing it up. We’re going to be moving in at the end of the summer, and we’re really excited,” Clooney said. “I love it and we’re going to have a great time. There’s a great old pub and there’s a great restaurant, The French Horn there and it’s a really beautiful fun place to be. I’m really excited.”
The Manor
George and Amal purchased the £10million manor located on the River Thames back in October 2014, only about a month after the two tied the knot in Venice.
The lavish house has its own library, gym, spa, steam room and a boathouse, while recent reports say that they have had a swimming pool, a pool house, a large terrace and a private cinema installed and added to the manor. There’s also a separate cottage for guests or staff members, while the whole estate takes up four acres of land, and it’s surrounded by trees and expansive gardens.
All the seclusion this private couple will ever need.
