Hilary Duff On Separation From Her Mike Comrie – Is Reconciliation An Option?

In a recent interview Hilary has spoken openly about her split from husband Mike Comrie, and she hinted that there might be hope of them getting back together after all.

A lot of things still keep them close

“I’m separated from my husband right now, which has been a very difficult thing to go through, but we have a lot of love for each other and we have this beautiful baby,” the star stated in an interview with Billboard’s Pop Shop.

The 26-year-old singer and movie star also revealed there’s a song on her latest album which is actually about the relationship between her and Mike. “The song’s about my separation and my love for this person, that maybe we’re not meant to be together, maybe we are. It’s very, very personal,” said Hilary.

Mutual Decision

The couple married in Santa Barbara in August 2010, after dating for three years, but have been separated since January this year.

According to Hilary’s publicist the two mutually decided upon an amicable separation.

“They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other’s lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time,” her spokesperson told People magazine.

The pair have been seen together on a number of occasions since they announced their separation back in January. Just recently Mike took their two-year-old son Luca to the set of Hilary’s “Chasing the Sun” music video earlier this month.
