Jennifer Lopez is a pretty great dancer and a pretty huge star, and we know how Maksim Chmerkovskiy really loves ‘dancing with the stars’, so lately it has been buzzing around that the two are more than just dancing together.

However, the stories are just rumors. At least for now.

The newly single pop diva met the “Dancing With The Stars” champ in November last year when they shared the stage at the 2013 American Music Awards during her tribute to Celia Cruz and have kept in touch.

Maks is a close friend with fellow Dancing With The Stars pro Tony Dovolani, who has “remained on great terms with Leah Remini,” one of Lopez’s best friends, since being partnered with her on season 17, our source finds out.

“Leah and Jennifer are best friends,” the source adds. “So as a group, they’re all very friendly. Maks is in India and J.Lo’s at the World Cup right now. Who knows what could happen down the road?”
