Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson Finally Set a Wedding Date!

These boots were made for.. walking down the aisle! Country music and reality star Jessica Simpson has finally set a date for the upcoming nuptials she will be sharing with fiance Eric Johnson. The beautiful couple plans to culminate their marriage with a beautiful reception over the Fourth of July weekend in 2014. Pretty fitting for such a country couple.

Despite just now setting their wedding date, Jessica and Eric have been together, and through, a lot as a couple. They share two children together, a 2 year old daughter named Maxwell, and a 10 month old son named Ace. The two began dating back in 2010 and were engaged in under five months! Their wedding plans took a backseat to the children they decided to have, basically, back to back. Jessica is reportedly done with waiting and the children are old enough to handle a wedding, so the time for it is now. They will become one beautifully wedded couple soon in Santa Barbara, California.

Their wedding has changed in concept as they have planned it. Originally intending to wed in Capri, Italy, they decided to switch the location to California. The reasoning behind the adjustment? Jessica and Eric didn’t want to make their friends and family go through the ordeal of traveling across the world just to come see them.

This will be Jessica’s second wedding, and Eric’s first, and it will feature almost 90 Johnson family members alone! Needless to say, the event will be no small affair. At the most recent White House Correspondent’s Dinner, Jessica explained that she was “very picky” when deciding on how the wedding would look and feel like and that it will definitely be a “big event”. Jessica says that she is not going to be wearing white for this wedding and that she has “something special” in mind.
