Kimye Wedding: All You Need to Know

The Red Wedding and Royal Wedding were both swept aside from the collective minds of fans the world over as Kanye West and Kim Kardashian finally celebrated the most hyped-up wedding in years. The legendary rapper and reality star debutante finally tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony at the Renaissance Forte di Belvedere overseas in the great city of Florence. The wedding was as lavish and drama filled as you would expect out of a Kardashian event and we are sure that there were many cameras rolling to catch all of the fireworks.

The wedding occurred last Saturday and included a host of A-list actors and Hollywood icons. However those that were not in attendance raised the most eyebrows. Most notable of Kardashian absentees was Kim’s brother, Rob, who apparently flew back to Los Angeles the night before the big event. Rumor has it that Kim was furious that Rob didn’t try to lose any weight for the wedding. Brody Jenner, Kim’s step brother, was also a no show. On Kanye’s side of the affairs megastar musicians Jay Z and Beyonce, who were both rumored to be attending, were nowhere to be seen. Beyonce offered a congratulations on Instagram after the fact.

For the ceremony, which hosted almost 600 guests, Kim and Kanye wore Givenchy clothing while they exchanged vows in front of a wall of roses. Kim’s dress was stunning and featured a host of handmade lace work by Riccardo Tisci’s crew of designers. Kim changed into a Balmain mini dress for the reception.

No public event could be complete without Kanye taking a moment to steal the show. The “Yeezus” rapper found a microphone at several occasions and was long winded in his delivery. There was an eight minute speech to introduce Kim’s newest dress, the aforementioned Balmain, as well as a 20 minute speech later in the evening that lauded the Kardashian family as “the most remarkable people of our time”. Kanye also called Kim an “ideal celebrity” and “an ideal art”.

While the event was kept mostly private, we are sure that several cameras were rolling to capture every little detail. Expect more and more footage to leak and don’t be surprised to see a special episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” in the near future!
