Nicole Richie Claims She’s Responsible For Setting Up Cameron Diaz & Benji Madden

Nicole Richie, who has been married to “Good Charlotte” singer Joel Madden since 2010, wants to take all the credit for the love between her brother-in-law Benji Madden and the A-list Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz.

“I’m going to take responsibility for everything” Nicole said to Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday.

When asked if she approved of their new-found romance, Nicole replied: “I approve of anything that’s going to make Benji happy.”

“I am a devoted sister-in-law. I’m happy for anyone who is happy, and I want everyone to be surrounded with love,” she continued.

The starlet also hinted that the two couples had already been double dating. Namely, earlier in 2014 Cameron, 41, sparked rumors that she had found herself a new love when she was seen with Benji, 35. The two were pictured going out of the gym in Los Angeles, taking a walking and wearing casual sports-wear and, most importantly, looking completely happy in each other’s company.

Benji later confirmed their relationship in an interview with his brother when he admitted that they were both “lucky guys” in response to the question of being in love.

“Good Charlotte” guitarist is Cameron’s first high-profile boyfriend since she split up from New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez back in September 2011. Her other famous exes include Justin Timberlake and Jared Leto.
