One Direction’s Liam Payne Dumps Girlfriend Sophia Smith!

It looks like Liam Payne and the rest of the One Direction crew just got new song writing material. Liam, one of the more popular members of the group, just ended his 8 month relationship with English born Sophia Smith. Sources close to Liam say that the man was “devastated” but he felt that it was “for the best.” Sophia Smith didn’t have anything to say.
The reason for the breakup allegedly fell on the usual troubles that go along with long distance relationships. Liam and Sophia met while studying at St Peter’s College in Wolverhampton, England. From that first chance encounter their relationship seemed to take off. Sophia would fly thousands of miles at a time in order to come to his shows and support her man. Apparently this wasn’t good enough, or the spark didn’t burn bright enough anymore, because Liam felt the need to end the relationship. Liam stated, through an anonymous source, that their long distance arrangement was simply too draining for the both of them and that it “wasn’t fair to Sophia”. Despite his apparently magnanimous decision, the man still seemed downtrodden.
Liam took to Twitter to vent his pain and frustrations. Posts like “Worst thing I ever did was let you go” quickly appeared in his feed. This shows that Liam maintains at least a modicum of remorse for the break up. It’s interesting to note that their relationship ended mere days before the next big One Direction tour. For some reason we feel that Liam will find a way to quickly get over his ex as he globe trots with his bandmates and best friends. It will be interesting to see how the 1D fanbase reacts to Sophia Smith and her sudden exile from the lives of One Direction.
