Sofia Vergara Sued By Her Ex Over Frozen Embryos
Sofia Vergara’s ex-fiancé Nick Loeb is suing her over their frozen embryos they created in the hopes of having children one day. The embryos were created in November 2013 and the pair have since broken up and moved on with other partners. However, two female embryos still remain intact.
The former couple tried to have children together using surrogate mothers on two occasions, but both attempts were unsuccessful.
The legal documents were made available to The Insider With Yahoo and reveal Loeb’s feelings about their situation.
“John (Nick Loeb) seeks to save from destruction two cryopreserved Female Embryos created using John’s sperm and Jane’s (Sofia Vergara’s) ova for the purposes of attempting to have children. However, before the Female Embryos could be implanted in a surrogate, the Parties ended their relationship.” The documents also state that Vergara “hopes for the Female Embryos to ultimately be destroyed,” while Loeb “does not desire for the Female Embryos to be destroyed.”
Vergara is currently involved in planning her wedding to fiancé Joe Manganiello and hasn’t commented on the situation yet, but will have to face it sooner or later because Loeb doesn’t seem to want to let this one go.
