Eric Johnson, a tight end for several National Football League teams, spent most of his career sitting on the bench. He had a bad habit of collecting injuries that kept him out of the games for months at a time. His final team let him go in 2008, when Johnson began looking around for another gig. He appears to have found it in pop star and Weight Watchers spokesperson Jessica Simpson. Johnson has never had a job since being let go from his team, and seems completely happy sponging off Simpson.

The fact that they had a daughter in 2012 and a son in 2013 seemed to solidify the couple even more, but they still haven’t gotten married. They’ve announced various wedding dates, but something always seems to get in the way and the wedding plans fall through. Since they’re still together and still, apparently, a content couple, it’s possible that Jessica Simpson is a lot smarter than her public persona would imply. Right now she’s got control of her money, but if she got married and divorced, she might lose a substantial fortune. Better just to support her househusband and keep in charge of the bank account.
