There are short marriages and than there is the marriage between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, which is not only famous for having lasted a mere 72 days, but it’s famous because their divorce lasted seven times longer than their marriage!

“It’s just one of those life lessons that you have to learn, and it’s OK,” Kim said of her romance with the NBA basketball player.

The pair met in November 2010 while Kim was filming Kourtney & Kim Take New York and they started dating, with Kim appearing at his Nets games to send him her love from the stands.

In February 2011, the couple went public with their romance, and in May Humphries popped the question in her Beverly Hills home. After their 90-day engagement, in August 2011, the couple tied the knot in an over-the-top ceremony in California. In October, the “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event” aired, drawing 4.4 million viewers in its first night.

The fairytale ended soon, after Kim filed for divorce just 72 days into their marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
