9. Natalie Portman and Devendra Banhart

Natalie Portman is one of the brightest, most educated and talented actresses in Hollywood.

She is mostly known for her performances in Closer and Black Swan, for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress.

Soon afterwards she gave birth to her first child Aleph with husband Benjamin Millepied, a ballet dancer she met on the set of Black Swan.

But before the 2010 movie, Natalie was in a strange, although brief, relationship with Devendra Banhart. As polished and down-to-earth as she is, it seems strange Portman would find a hairy semi-famous folk-rocker attractive.

The pair met in 2008 when she starred in his music video for a song called “Carmensita”, but their romance was short-lived and ended the same way it began, silently.
