From all celebrity romances we’ve put onto this list, the one between Charlie Sheen and Kelly Preston is perhaps the only one we actually want to forget.

Prior to marrying John Travolta, Preston had the (mis)fortune of being engaged to Charlie Sheen. The two even got to the point of living together, only for Sheen to shoot his fiancé in the arm, causing their breakup almost immediately.

Two decades later Kelly actually explained that this was all just an accident. As she claimed, she was picking up Charlie’s pants off the floor when a gun fell out of them. Upon hitting the ground, the gun fired and hit one of her arms.

Considering how high Sheen probably was at the time, we can’t say whether he was too knocked out to even hold a gun or if he was crazy enough to actually shoot his girlfriend.
