The whirlwind romance between the hunky Canadian actor and America’s favorite bombshell went from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye and hand fans heads spinning when news of their marriage broke in late 2008. Reynolds had been in a 5 year relationship with Canadian rocker Alanis Morissette before calling off their engagement in 2007.

Soon after Reynolds began dating Johansson, the couple got serious and shocked many fans when they announced they were engaged to be married after less than a year of dating. But they were in for an even bigger surprise when the couple announced they had wed in a private ceremony in British Columbia just 4 short months later.

Their fairy-tale romance was short lived however as the couple announced their separation in December of 2010 and their divorce later became finalized in July of the following year.
